NOURISH - A Monthly Gathering of Healing & Connection

NOURISH - A Monthly Gathering of Healing & Connection

Join us for our Monthly event - NOURISH: A Monthly Gathering of Healing & Connection.
For the Month of January Laniece Schleicher, MS, LPC, NCC, RYT will be providing the healing offering of TRE.

Laniece Schleicher, MS, LPC, NCC, RYT, is a trauma-informed and holistic mental health therapist who integrates body-based approaches to support healing and regulation. Laniece has her Level three IFS training through the Center for Self Leadership and is also a Level Two trained EMDR therapist through EMDRIA.  She is a Reiki Master, Certified TRE® Provider, and Registered Yoga Teacher, who blends evidence-informed therapy and somatic practices to help clients reconnect with their sense of safety, presence, and resilience. Laniece is known for her steady, compassionate way of holding space and creating an environment where clients can move at their own pace toward meaningful change and nervous system restoration and regulation.

What is TRE®?

TRE® (Trauma Tension Release Exercises) were created by Dr. David Berceli, PhD after he witnessed the effects of trauma and chronic stress on the bodies of the individuals he supported and helped in various war torn countries during his tenure as a clinical social worker and bioenergetic therapist.

Dr. Berceli observed adults contracting and children shaking under high stress and he formulated this theory:

A- we are genetically encoded to contract our body to protect ourselves when we are

experiencing stress and/or trauma.

B- we are also genetically encoded to release such contraction by tremoring and

shaking but, as adults ,we tend to repress this natural releasing response because

shaking has a negative social connotation.

C- The seven TRE® exercises are designed to either stretch or mildly fatigue the legs’

muscles to elicit the reactivation of this natural response called Neurogenic Tremors.

TRE® is a gentle, body-based practice that helps release deep tension, stress, and stored patterns in the nervous system. Through a series of simple movements, the body is invited into a natural neurogenic tremor—a calming, restorative process that supports regulation, grounding, and resilience. It’s accessible for most people and can be a powerful complement to other healing work.

* For this practice, please wear comfortable clothing which will allow for free movement and bring a yoga mat if you have one. If you do not have a mat, we will provide you with one to use for your practice.

Each month on the third Sunday, we will gather for an afternoon of connection, healing, and nourishment.

Each month, we'll share a different healing offering; from sound baths to gentle movement, meditation, or energy work, followed by a warm community meal featuring homemade soup and fresh bread.

This gathering is an invitation to slow down, connect with others, and receive.

Breathe For Peace Group Breathwork

Join us on Wednesday January 14th from
5:30pm - 6:30pm for Group Breathwork
to Breathe for Peace

Facilitated by Sarah Stepans

Investment: Donation Based

Let’s come together to Breathe for Peace.

Peace Within.

Peace for the World.

Peace for Our Communities

Peace for Gaza.

Peace for our Nation.

Let us come together for this healing work - it can be very powerful within ourselves but having the intention for Peace can allow it to pulse out into the rest of our country, our world and reach those that need it most. At a time when our world is really hard, it can be powerful to come together to voice whatever we need to say out loud in a shared space. Breathwork is a practice where we don’t need to put words to anything we are feeling - we are giving our body and system the permission to allow feelings and sensation to move through. This gives us the support we have within ourselves to continue to move through this time.

If you have any questions regarding Breathwork, please email hello@thecollectivelaramie.com

Registration Required.
